In its quest to satisfy consumers’ crave for non-sticky noodles with high nutritive values, Olam Sanyo Foods, one of Nigeria’s leading noodle makers, has launched Cherie Egglicious.
The manufacturers say it is the first noodle brand in the country to contain real egg.
A statement signed by the company’s Public Relations Consultant, Mr. Rasheed Oladimeji, added that Cherie brand ambassador and Kannywood star, Ali Nuhu, sampled a bowl of the noodles.
Speaking at the launch in Kano, the manufacturers said the noodle brand has been fortified with minerals and vitamins to make for nutritious meal for the entire family.
Category Head (Beverages, Noodles & Culinary) at Olam Sanyo Foods, Mr. Sidhartha Samal, said: “Cherie Egglicious noodle brand was developed after large-scale research across the country.
“We observed that most mothers added eggs to noodles when cooking, while they also cited stickiness as a major issue, especially when cooked noodles is included as part of kiddies’ lunch boxes to school.
“Cherie Egglicious therefore makes life easier for mothers and kids because it is non-sticky, and they also know that they are giving their families the goodness of real egg, in addition to Vitamin A and iron.” Punch
