‘Dangote BlocMaster, best for construction in swampy areas’
The new cement product launched by the Dangote Cement Plc is expected to address the challenges associated with building construction in swampy areas, according to the Group Managing Director, Dangote Cement Plc, Mr Joseph Makoju.
He said lots of developers tried to avoid constructing on swampy land because of the cost of getting it right, adding that but in areas like Lagos State where it was increasingly getting difficult to get dry plots of land, swamps or waterlogged plots were inevitable.
Makoju maintained that BlocMaster would work better in such areas and give builders a perfect result due to its strong quality.
A statement from the firm quoted Majoku as saying this in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, while introducing the product to builders, block makers and the general public in the Niger Delta region.
He said, “For a swampy area like this, this innovative cement becomes a much better offer to use because the terrain with higher sulfur requires a cement product that is stronger, with a higher strength to work better and give a perfect result.”
Makoju, who was represented by the Chief Marketing Director, Dangote Cement Plc, Funmi Sanni, noted that the product was 100 per cent local content and made from limestone.
He added that the new cement product was currently the highest bagged grade of cement in the country with 42.5 grade and sets after an hour, due to its top quality. Punch
